SeaBreezy Designs is a small St. Augustine studio built on a simple habit — noticing what other people are about to throw away.
Sheree’s story
Meet Sheree, owner of SeaBreezy Designs
“I paint lots of stuff.” It started the way these things usually do — a thrift store, a yard sale, a piece of furniture that was too well made to end up at the curb. One repaint turned into another, and eventually into a studio.
SeaBreezy Designs is Sheree’s take on repurposing: reclaiming, redoing, rethinking and restoring. Quality pieces get a second life, usually with a bit of coastal colour and a finish built to actually hold up.
Teaching came next, and it stuck. There’s a particular kind of satisfaction in watching someone who arrived certain they “aren’t creative” leave with a piece of furniture they made themselves.

Nobody starts good
Every single person in that studio was a beginner once, teacher included. There is no wrong question and no such thing as being too new at this.
Your piece, your call
You choose the colour and the finish. Sheree will tell you honestly what will work and what won’t, then help you get the result you actually wanted.
Skills that outlast the class
The goal isn’t one nice dresser. It’s that you go home able to do the next one without anyone standing next to you.
The location
At home in Coconut Barrel
The studio has a permanent home inside Coconut Barrel, The Artisan Market — an indoor marketplace of local makers just south of historic downtown St. Augustine.
It’s a good place to spend an afternoon whether or not you’re painting something. Classes run there a few times a month.
